The Stump Grinding Process
We use a stump grinder to grind down the tree stump and surface roots approximately six inches below the surface. Once the tree stump has been completely removed, we can fill the hole in one of two ways:
Grindings - Stump grinding creates a mixture of wood chips and dirt which can be used to fill in the hole, and will settle naturally over time.
Topsoil - If you want to establish new, fresh landscaping to replace where the tree stump was, then we can instead fill the hole with topsoil to encourage faster growth.
